BELARGUS ROUERES QUARTS DE CHAUME GRAND CRU CHENIN 375ML @ Deerfoot City [1044641]

Les Rouères is one of the three plots originally designated in the decree establishing the Quarts-de-Chaume appellation. Domaine Belargus cultivates nearly 3 hectares of this unique vineyard, which is situated on the southeastern slope of the Quarts-de-Chaume hill. In exceptional vintages, Belargus produces a traditional sweet wine from noble rot sourced from this esteemed plot. The unique combination of the terroir’s sunny south-facing hillside, morning mists from the Layon River, and consistent winds creates a botrytis with remarkable concentration. This wine is crafted from a special type of soil containing pudding stones, resulting in powerful yet not heavy wines. Aromas of quince, candied pineapple, and apricot emerge from the glass while maintaining impressive precision, density, and balance. The sugars are present but not overwhelming, contributing to its great aging potential. It is best enjoyed after 2030 and can be savored for decades beyond.
